Turkish Coffee Taste & Tradition

Maybe your coffee connoisseur have you experienced a new kind of coffee that really gives a special aromatic blend? And this coffee is called Turkish coffee with heavenly, pure and strong taste.  Once you try it, you will enjoy it’s bold pleasant and richly aromatic taste.

Turkish coffee is surprisingly easy to make. This is cooked through boiling of the powdered coffee beans in a pot. Grinding it in a mortar and roasting the coffee beans are the process also for preparation. There are also people using hot water alone and adds pure sugar or syrup until it dissolves. Thus, it is a unique method of making coffee. The traditional Ottoman way of making Turkish coffee is by cooking it over hot coals that have burned for a long time. You can also cook it in any fire pit anywhere. Actually, the name Turkish coffee describes the method of preparation not its ingredients.

Turkish coffee is originated from Ethiopia and Yemen as well as the parts of Saudi Arabia on the early 11th century. It was first discovered as a good source of medicine and accepted as a drinking coffee by the late 15th century. At the early 16th century it spreads to Cairo, Turkey and other Middle East countries. And yet it became famous and popular throughout the entire world.

Many Turkish coffee aficionados drink this in an extremely hot temperature with a glass of cold water in order to better taste it. Mostly in Mediterranean countries they added pistachio into the coffee. Some also served this with chocolate sticks and cookies.

Today, Turkish coffee has became a world class beverage, and widely popular drink. Turkish coffee has many different names and variant in every country. It has been an addiction to most coffee lovers and enthusiasts. So enjoy the  aroma with every sip.
